Wedding Talk

Hello lovelies!

This has truly been an exciting year for me.  I recently got engaged to the absolute love of my life, we bought a house together and I started a new job that I am absolutely loving so far.  When so many wonderful new things happen in such a short period of time – it can be overwhelming – the best overwhelming there is though.  No complaints here!

This post is for all the future brides, recently wed brides, or the soon to be brides who have everything planned out for when it happens! ;)  I want to hear from you.  What was the most stressful part of planning your wedding?  Which vendors did you feel you could spend a little more or a little less on? And, best of all – where are my DIY ladies?  I know that I am going to try my best at making a beautiful DIY centerpiece for my wedding.  I’ll share the picture with you all at the end of this post!  I want to hear from YOU!  Come at me with your tips, struggles, and favorites from the interesting process of wedding planning!

Here is the centerpiece – still going to play around with it a bit!

Prasino: Healthy Heaven

Beautiful People!

If you haven’t already done so, I definitely encourage you to check out Prasino in LaGrange. This wonderful restaurant is all green, healthy, fresh ingredients.

This time, I decided to check out their breakfast menu which was fantastic.  Take a look:

After going back and forth, I finally decided to go with the city farm omelet. The omelet had the perfect amount of chicken apple sausage, spinach, and goat cheese. Yum. Yum. Yum.

This place gets a 5/5 in my book. And, to top it off, they serve breakfast until 230PM which to a late brunch goer like myself, is a great thing.

Back Again – with – BBQ.

It has most definitely been awhile since I’ve last posted and I definitely apologize for that. A lot has happened since! I am now engaged to the love of mylife and best friend, I took on a new role in my company, and will soon be a homeowner with my fiance! Life is good, all. Life is good.

But for now, let’s talk BBQ. If you’re ever in the Wicker Park area I definitely suggest you stop in to Lillie’s Q for some delicious BBQ! I stopped in here the other day with my dad on a snowy, cold day and let me tell you – it hit the spot. This place has 6 different barbecue sauces you can choose from – from Alabama styled – to Carolina styled – to finally, Memphis styled sauces.

Make sure you try the sweet tea – or if you’re wanting a stronger drink, they have a full bar to meet your needs!

The hush puppies were tasty andvery filling. Probably not the best thing to start with. I wasn’t a huge fan of the sweet potato puree that it came with as it was served cold. We used the BBQ sauces instead.

And finally – we split the tender pulled pork sandwich, some mac and cheese, green beans with bacon bits, and the seasoned fries with ‘carolina dirt’ (cajun spice).  YUM!

Long story short, you need to go check out Lillie’s Q on a cold wintry day!

Thanks for dropping by lovelies! :)

Work it.

Yesterday I had thee most incredible one on one Pilates session with a brilliant and talented instructor who is a professional ballet dancer. It was such a fun experience that allowed me to understand specific exercises and movements in Pilates thanks to my insightful instructor. I will most definitely continue on with private sessions at least once a week. Who else is a huge fan? I want to hear from you and your experience with Pilates! I know that after one session, I was feeling fantastic and smiling from ear to ear – along with being quite sore today!

Find your Mojo here. Yeah, baby, yeah!

Delicious scents that you nearly wish you could eat? Lotions, soaps, face masks that leave your skin feeling soft and wonderful? Ladies, gents, everyone – you must check out Mojo Spa for all your beauty needs! I personally suggest you treat yourself to a manicure and a pedicure while possibly having brunch – yes you heard me. This lovely place hosts beauty and brunch days! And don’t forget to scoop up a cupcake soap on your way out.

Don’t forget to follow, like, share, comment! I love hearing from you all. Enjoy this beautiful Sunday!
